Stampin’ Up! Welcome Box Unboxing + Your Joining Questions Answered

Have you ever wondered what you actually get when you join Stampin’ Up!? Well, I’ve got a fun sneak peek for you! I’m unboxing the new Stampin’ Up! welcome box, sharing everything inside, and answering some of the most common questions about becoming a demonstrator.

The new welcome box is filled with some really cute goodies, including a card kit! In my latest video, I’m showing you everything inside, putting together the cards, and sharing a few of my favorite cardmaking tips along the way.

Spoiler alert! Stampin’ Up! doesn’t advertise the Welcome box contents when you join, so if you’d rather be surprised when yours arrives, you might want to skip the unboxing portion!

What’s Inside the Stampin’ Up! Welcome Box?

First of all, can we talk about how cute the box itself is? I love the bright rainbow stripes!

Inside, you’ll find a welcome note, some fun Stampin’ Up! goodies, and supplies to make eight cards.

A few of my favorite things include the telescoping pencil case, a matching pen, and an adorable little desktop trash can.

The card kit includes eight card bases and coordinating envelopes, a stamp set, a clear stamping block, a Pretty Peacock ink spot, adhesive, and the pieces you need to assemble the cards.

And I love that the little birds are already colored for you! You just stamp the outlines. If you know me, you know coloring isn’t my favorite thing. 😂

Of course, I couldn’t resist making a few little changes to the cards. I added some extra sprigs using my beloved Nature’s Symphony Dies and played around with different embellishments.

I also share a few tips for making multiple cards at once, including my favorite assembly-line method. It really makes the process go faster!

Common Questions about Joining Stampin’ Up!

Do You Have to Sell Stampin’ Up! Products When You Join?

Nope! And this is probably one of the biggest misconceptions about becoming a demonstrator.

You don’t have to teach classes, host parties, make videos, or build a business. You can join simply because you love the products and want to purchase your own crafting supplies at a discount.

In fact, most of my Paper Divas team members are what we call hobby demonstrators. They’re here for the discount, the inspiration, and the community.

That’s actually how I started, too! When I first joined Close to My Heart back in 2008, I just wanted to save money on my supplies. Over time, I discovered how much I loved teaching and sharing my creativity, and my business grew from there.

You can do as much or as little as you’d like, and that can change depending on your season of life.

How Much Does It Cost to Join Stampin’ Up!?

In the United States, the starter kit is $100, and you receive a $125 product coupon to choose the Stampin’ Up! supplies you want. You also receive eight complimentary catalogs and the welcome box.

You can choose products for scrapbooking, cardmaking, or a little of everything!

A Little Something Extra for October 2026!

If you join by October 31, 2026, you’ll also receive an extra $50 in Stampin’ Rewards added to your account. That’s in addition to the $125 product coupon!

It’s a fun little bonus if you’ve been thinking about joining.

Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Discount and Quarterly Minimums

When you join, you start with a 15% demonstrator discount, plus you can earn 10% in Stampin’ Rewards on qualifying online orders. As your sales grow, your discount can increase to 20%.

To remain an active demonstrator in the United States, the minimum is $300 in sales per calendar quarter. That can come from your own purchases, customer orders, or a combination of both.

And if you decide not to continue? That’s okay, too! Your demonstrator status simply ends, and you can go right back to shopping as a customer.

I always encourage people to think about what they already spend on crafting supplies and whether joining makes sense for them.

Can I join Stampin’ Up! just for the discount?

Absolutely! You don’t need to run a business, teach classes, or sell products to others. Many demonstrators join simply because they love crafting and want to save money on their supplies. You’ll just need to meet the quarterly sales minimum to maintain your demonstrator status.

What happens if I don’t meet the quarterly minimum?

If you don’t meet the required sales minimum, your demonstrator status will eventually end according to Stampin’ Up!’s policies. You can still purchase products as a regular customer, and there’s no obligation to continue. You get to keep everything you’ve received.

Come Join the Paper Divas!

The savings are wonderful, but the community is honestly one of my favorite parts of being a demonstrator.

When you join through me, you become part of my Paper Divas team. We have a Facebook group where we share projects, ask questions, and encourage each other. I also share a monthly scrapbook sketch challenge, and we have Zoom crops, team meetings, and training opportunities.

We even have an annual in-person team retreat! It’s so much fun getting to spend time with creative friends we usually only see on a screen.

And if Facebook isn’t your thing, that’s okay. You can still participate in our Zoom activities and stay connected through email.

Whether you’re a brand-new crafter or you’ve been doing this for years, you’re welcome. And whether you want to build a business or simply enjoy your hobby, I’m happy to support you.

Ready to join the fun?

I’d love to welcome you to my Paper Divas team!
