Happy weekend!
This past week marked one year since my fur-baby, Oslo, went to doggy heaven. đ
My husband and I shed quite a few tears as we reminisced our sweet boy. Isnât it amazing how much a part of the family our fur-babies are?! đŸ
To commemorate, I finally finished his memory album and created this walkthrough video to share with you. I added some still shots below.
I am in LOVE with the new Short Story kit! I love the concept â it really did make this come together quick and easy. I had wanted to do an album for Oslo for months but was overwhelmed and undecided on how to go about it. This was the perfect platform.
I shed quite a few tears as I looked through my photos, journaled, and put this album together. But making and then especially finishing the memory album was therapeutic! Itâs amazing how this sort of accomplishment helps bring peace and closure.
I added extra pages and a few extra supplies â the coordinating Simply Said alpha stamps, four 6Ă6 page protectors, 2 sheets of White Daisy cardstock, red gems, silver glitter gems (swoon!), a 3Ă4 flip flap, and some Central Park alpha stickers. Enjoy the photos! đ
Here is a close-up of the journaling if youâd like to read it. My husband and I each wrote our own perspective of our story. I used a 3âł x 4âł flip flap (and small text!) to be able to fit it all on the page.
This really was a fun mini album to put together! Kudos to Stacy Julian and CTMH for introducing such an amazing product!
If you are a scrapbooker:
You will love how easy and approachable this kit makes putting your âShort Storyâ together.
If you are NOT a scrapbooker:
You will love how easy and approachable this kit makes putting your âShort Storyâ together!!!
Who is this kit for?
This kit is designed for ANYONE to tell the story of a special person, place, or event in your life, and feel creatively confident! It was perfect for me to tell the story of my one-of-a-kind special dog. But you could tell the story about a loved one who has passed away OR is still alive. A family vacation or multiple trips over the years to the same special location. An event such as a family reunion, wedding, graduation, or babyâs first year. You could even document a series of smaller events, like accomplishing bucket list items or a childâs birthday over the years. The options are endless.
The concept is designed to get your photos off of your phone/computer and into a book. Itâs not about making it perfect or having the photos in the perfect order (something that always hangs me up). It helps you to stop THINKING about getting your story down and actually DOING IT!
It is not your typical scrapbook â there is actually a method to doing it â and doing it quickly and more simplified. It is suggested that you start with 25-35 photos (or more â I started with 75 but ended up with fewer than that!). Then you crop your photos, adhere them to your pages in an unconventional way, and embellish!
I am hooked and canât wait to do my next one!
Beginning Sept. 1, you will be able to purchase this kit for yourself and tell your own âShort Storyâ through photos, journaling, and a unique method to assembling that makes it approachable for anyone!

The kit includes a workbook that provides step-by-step instructions to create an album, plus the following materials:
- 10 â6âł x 6âł Memory Protectorsâą (extras available separately)
- 12 âpatterned paper sheets (6âł x 6âł)
- 20 âWhite Daisy cardstock sheets (6âł x 6âł)
- 4âsticker and die-cut sheets (6âł x 6âł)
- 1 âBlack & White Dots1 âwhite twine (1 yd.)
- 1 âblack & white gingham ribbon (3 yds.)
Youâll also need a photo trimmer, journaling pen, and adhesive. This workshop includes trimming 4âłx 6âł photos into a variety of smaller sizes. I highly recommend our small guillotine-style photo trimmer â itâs my favorite tool right now. Seriously, where has it been all my life?! And our journaling pen is also a favorite of mine. I love that it isnât a really harsh black â itâs a soft black, almost charcoal color so it still stands out but doesnât take away from your artistry đ
