Kailyn’s First Birthday Garden Party Invitation – Chalkboard & Flowers

Today is Kailyn’s 1st birthday. Seriously…SERIOUSLY…where does the time go?!?! Before I had a baby I heard from friends all the time that “time flies.” It’s not that I didn’t believe them, but it’s just crazy to actually experience it yourself.

 

I thought today was the perfect day to share her first birthday party invitations with you. I teased on my Facebook page, but now that I’ve sent them out and her party is almost here, I think it’s safe to share them online 🙂

 

I would have loved to hand make all of the invitations, but with limited crafty time (I decided to spend more time on the actual party décor) I came up with a hybrid solution! I knew I wanted to have a garden party, and it had to have BLING! After spending what seems like a million hours on Pinterest and Etsy, and finally found the perfect design from THIS shop. I think it’s more perfect than anything I could have done myself, and I love that it still has the handmade touch.

 

 

I worked with the shop owner to customize the colors and text, then she sent me the file. I had it printed at a local printer that I use at work. Once I got it back I rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper, added lots of BLING from my CTMH Sparkles collections, and added a strip of washi tape to “hold” her photo.
