I am on a roll with this blogging thing lately! I have some bright and cheery cards to share today. I played around with the
Some Kinda Wonderful paper and
Thin Cuts/stamp set bundle (which is 25% off only for a few more days!). This stamp set is SERIOUSLY CUTE! It was the first thing I had to have when the current catalog came out.
Don’t you love this bird? I’m not the best Copic colorer but it was fun to color him in. You can do all sorts of color combos for him. I used Memento black ink so that the alcohol in the Copics didn’t make the image smear.
You have to check out the adorable fox and turtle that come in the set, too. The word bubble is a stamp and die also, and there are a couple of sentiments sized to perfectly fit in it, as well as a few larger sentiments. The stamp set picture is below or check it out on my website.
I added some splatters of black acrylic paint to the card base. It’s hard to tell because most of it is covered up, but there are some cute dots peeking out on the sides. They are also on the back. Makes for a fun added detail.
TIP: Create 8 splattered card bases from one sheet of cardstock! Add a few drops of water to some acrylic paint in a small jar. Use a paint brush to splatter an entire 12″x12″ sheet of white carstock. Let dry. Cut into (8) 3″x6″ card bases. Fold each in half for a 3″x3″ card.
