Hello, and welcome to the “My Favorite Things” blog hop: Holiday Gift Guide edition! Some of my Playing With Paper team is here to share our favorite product(s) from the new Holidays from the Heart gift guide from Close to my Heart. It’s a mini holiday version of our Idea Book, and it has some fab new products!
One of my favorites is the new paper pack, called Sparkle and Shine. I’ve been into simple lately, because I have limited crafty time. I was able to whip these 2 CAS cards up one day during Kailyn’s nap. (Which is a feat, because her naps are short these days!) Both cards are the same design but slightly different.
I was inspired by THIS fall card by Karen at The Bald Dragonfly (found via Pinterest). I used the Scandinavian Wishes stamp set for all stamping, which was October’s stamp of the month.
I like this first card the best. The skinny strip was plain cardstock and I stamped the long and skinny stamp from the set onto it. I fussy-cut the bird. It has legs on the stamp, but I didn’t bother cutting them out and I think it looks just fine!
The bird adds a little dimension…he’s on a foam square.
